📖 About the Book:
Earth is broken beyond repair, and the Planet is humanity's last hope. Botanist Jill Jones joins the second mission to the Planet, determined to uncover its secrets and prove it's the new beginning humanity needs. As Jill and her team survey the Planet, a mysterious presence infiltrates their thoughts, leading to disappearances and a race against time to uncover the truth.
🤔 Review:
I don't even know where to begin with this review. This story was WILD! I was on edge the entire time, uneasy about what the exploration team would find on the Planet. Smitherman painted a beautiful picture of an ideal planet with stunning visuals that left you questioning what happened to the original team that disappeared. The mystery element was on point, and the tension between Jill and her past drew me in, making me feel as disoriented as the team.
There were many times I was stumbling right along with them, but I was rooting (plant joke) for them to succeed, even though I wanted to scream at them to pull their act together! The ending had me staring at the wall, and it's a story I keep thinking about long after the final page.
Maybe it's a good thing I don't have a green thumb because I will never look at plants the same way...
