π€ Review:
I loved the magical world Denelsbeck created, especially the various magical creatures like the eelasβsuper cool! The magic system was fascinating, with students studying different paths of magic and their abilities varying based on the individual. Cornelius was a relatable character, fitting the mold of a kid just trying to find his path in life and be liked. The friendships he made were enjoyable to read about, even though some interactions with his best friend left me a bit puzzled.
It is a fast-paced book that makes it feel like you are constantly jumping from one thing to another. I like more of a build-up to moments and reveals so it was hard for the important elements to sink in for me. However, that is just me.
This book is perfect for teens looking for an enchanting and adventurous read!
