📖 About the Book:
Sutton’s sole focus has always been protecting her son—giving him a safe, stable life after everything they’ve been through. Enter Cope Colson: hockey enforcer, unexpectedly swoony chef, and the last person Sutton ever thought would become her safe place. But as secrets from both their pasts threaten everything they’ve built, Sutton and Cope must fight harder than ever for the happiness they both deserve.
🤔 Review:
Catherine Cowles continues to deliver romantic suspense gold with Broken Harbor. Sutton is the kind of single mom protagonist you root for from page one—tough, loving, and unapologetically devoted to her son. Cope is the definition of a soft-hearted protector with a hard exterior (and he cooks?! Swoon). Watching him fall not just for Sutton, but also for her son, was everything.
As always, Cowles had me guessing with the mystery—twists came out of nowhere and kept the stakes high. The hockey backdrop was fun without overwhelming the romance, and the epilogue was perfectly heartwarming. I adored catching up with the Colson crew (Lolli was iconic as usual), though I will admit Sutton and Cope didn’t leave quite the same impact on me as the earlier couples in the series—but that’s just personal preference.
