What I loved:
1. Quirky paranormal town vibes 🌊
2. Petra + Blaze’s banter 💫
3. Devanna 🧙‍♀️

📖 About the Book:
Petra Ambrose’s dream career in historical academia is on the line, and her last shot at saving it sends her to the eerie little town of Deadlights Cove, Maine. She expects quaint charm and colonial history—not a town full of secrets, a murder investigation, and a flirty bartender named Blaze who seems to know more than he lets on. As Petra digs into the town’s mysterious past, she may uncover more than she bargained for… including a truth that could change everything.

🤔 Review:
Talk about a fun little town full of quirky characters! I loved the setting of Deadlights Cove and the mix of paranormal beings that gave the story such a unique and whimsical vibe. Petra and Blaze’s dynamic was a highlight—his teasing and fascination with her “very human” behavior made for some great tension and sweet moments. Their chemistry was subtle but satisfying, and the paranormal twist added a fun layer to their growing connection.

I also really enjoyed Petra’s determination to uncover the town’s history and the secrets it’s hiding. That said, the mystery takes a backseat to the romance, and I do wish the plot had wrapped up more cleanly in this book instead of leaving things hanging for the next installment. I’m a big fan of interconnected standalones with fresh plots each time, so the cliffhanger wasn’t my favorite. Still, the story was cozy, fun, and full of charm—even if the ending felt a bit rushed.

If you’re in the mood for a light paranormal romance with a dash of mystery and a whole lot of small-town charm, Smoke Show is a great pick!
