π€ Review:
I always love Hazelwood's writing style, and this book pulled me in right away, just like her stories always do. From page one, I was rooting for Scarlett and was captivated by her mental health journey after her diving accident. Her struggle to overcome anxiety was so beautifully detailed that I felt every moment right alongside her.
The dynamic between Lukas and Scarlett was fantastic, and their chemistry was WOAH! Electric! If the book had focused solely on her healing, their relationship, and the Olympics, I would have given it all the stars.
However, the miscommunication and the love triangle with Penn detracted from my enjoyment. Penn was a difficult character for me to connect with, and her toxic behavior was headache-inducing. I swear people could hear me cussing up a storm in my car every time she popped up. π«
Was this still a good read? Absolutely. Was it my favorite Hazelwood book? No, but I would reread this for Lukas any day! Will I keep reading everything that Hazelwood puts out? OF COURSE!
