Homeschooling Mom. Hopeless Romantic. Book Devourer.

“My biggest WHY in starting my Bookstagram is to form a safe and uplifting community where we can chat, vent, and cheer others on!”

This month, I’m thrilled to shine a spotlight on Jen—a powerhouse mom of six, self-proclaimed hopeless romantic, and dedicated book lover whose reading journey began as an act of self-care.

At 34, Jen picked up her first book as a way to carve out a little “me time” in the chaos of motherhood. What started as a small escape quickly turned into a deep love for stories that sweep you off your feet, make you feel, and occasionally break your heart in the best way. Now, at 45, she’s a full-blown bookworm balancing a busy life with a stack of books that keeps her company through it all.

When she’s not homeschooling her four youngest or cheering on her high-schoolers, Jen dives into an impressive mix of genres—from heart-wrenching contemporary fiction to swoony romantasy, time travel, historical fiction, dystopian worlds, and laugh-out-loud romcoms. And if a book makes her cry? Even better.

With a love for 90s grunge and a heart full of stories, Jen reminds us that it’s never too late to fall in love with reading. Her journey is a beautiful testament to the power of books, especially for those navigating the beautifully chaotic world of parenthood.
